Jean-Marc Rotsaert has resigned as chief operating officer at Solazyme, Inc, the renewable oil and bioproducts firm behind the Algenist skin care line. With David Cole appointed as president in December 2013, Solazyme does not have plans to fill the COO position, according to CEO Jonathan Wolfson. In addition, the company has appointed Robert Webber to the new position of SVP, strategic and operational planning, reporting to Cole. He will assume cross-functional responsibility for operating plans across the company.
